Multibase manages its own hosting environment, located at Fujitsu Australia’s Internet Data Centre in North Ryde, NSW. This facility is a highly secure, world class centre. Power and Internet are
fully redundant.

Backup
|
- Standard backup schedule is a full data backup every 24 hours on our network backup and to tape, using a weekly rotation system.
- These backup tapes are held in fireproof storage.
- Other backup arrangements can be negotiated.

Web statistics
|
- Real-time web visitation statistics included in all plans (Webalizer)
- Statistics are kept for 12 months then deleted unless other arrangements made.
|
|
FTP / Secure FTP
|
- (Unix only) For security of all our customers, only secure FTP or FTP over SSL is allowed to transfer files to the web server. One account is set up by default for each web site.
Ask for details.
- Additional accounts may be established e.g. to allow different staff to access different areas of the site.
- Time-based service and support fees may apply for specialist setups, or when configuration changes are required after initial setup.

Telnet / SSH
|
- Telnet is not available due to security risks.
- SSH is available to our Linux platform.
- Expert-level access from your static IP address can be allowed. Static IP addresses are also available to our ADSL customers.

POP3 mailboxes
|
- Mailboxes @yourdomain can be provided. These are not Internet access accounts.
- A default (catch-all) mailbox or alias can be established and is included in the mailbox count, however this is not recommended to reduce the amount of spam you receive.
- An alias for a POP3 mailbox is counted as one account not two.

Advanced email functionality
|
- Email aliases, autoresponders, autoforwarders are available.
- Aliases: Allows e.g. webmaster@yourdomain.com.au or sales@yourdomain.com.au directed to your email address.
- Autoresponder: When a message is sent to a nominated address e.g. sales@yourdomain.com.au, a message is automatically returned to the sender e.g. “Thanks for your request. We'll
contact you with 24 hours.”
- Autoforwarder: All messages sent to a nominated address are automatically forwarded to any nominated address.
- Time-based service and support fees may apply, or when configuration changes are required after initial setup.

Domain names
|
- Any number of domain names can be pointed to one or more parts of your web site.
- Multibase manages its own DNS.

Subdomain
|
- Any number of sub-domain names can be establised and pointed to one or more parts of your web site.
- Allows a sub-section of your web site or email users to have a different address e.g. sales.yourdomain.com.au. Used for a very large web site, or when different parts of the site
are hosted on different servers (even with another provider), or when a separate SSL-secured section is required.
- Additional fees apply for domain name services.

Domain name - web and email
|
- One or more domain names can be connected to all hosting plans
- Allows a web site at your domain name e.g. www.yourdomain.com.au and email to be username@yourdomain.com.au. Both offer more professional presentation of web site and
email addresses.
- Generic email addresses e.g. info, sales, webmaster are available as required (using aliases). The mailbox allowance is a part of the web hosting account, not the domain hosting
account.

Support
|
- First level support is provided by the Multibase Help Desk during business hours (8:00am - 5:30pm). Second level support is provided by on-duty technical staff. Third level
support is provided by senior technicians in conjunction with the equipment or software vendor.

Advanced web server functions
|
- Depending on the platform, advanced web server functionality can be established on your site e.g. Directory browsing on/off, Script aliases, local cgi, login/password protection
for directories, redirects etc.
- Time-based service fees apply or purchase a customer support plan.

PHP
|
- PHP is enabled on Linux web servers. (.phtml file extension)
|
|
Server Side Includes
|
- Available on Linux platform (.shtml file extension)
|
|
cgi scripts
|
- Your own cgi scripts can be used subject to vetting by Multibase technical staff, charged on an hourly rate.
- Use our installed cgi scripts for form handling.
- For security reasons we do not use common form handling scripts e.g. FormMail. Ask us for alternatives.
- Local cgi-bin can be established on request

Front Page Extensions
|
- Available for Windows platform.
- Support of Front Page Extensions is a specialist area. Time based service fees apply for support beyond initial setup.

|
Additional setup and support time
|
- Time allowance for standard setup of a hosting account with associated domain is made. Multibase also has technical specialists available for complex hosting and domain setups.
Our customer service staff will advise if your custom setup requires additional service time beyond that covered by the normal setup fee.
- Service fees may apply to changes in configuration beyond the initial setup.
