March2207: Good morning and thanks for tuning in or watching, if only through your glass ingCOMPOSTiNGeye. A bit of glint might help. Perhaps everyone's tense this week waiting for our New South Wales elections on Saturday. Let's hope we're all feelling ok next week. Things are finally coming together in earthfiXia. We've just discovered an on line conferencing gismo we can use in conjunction with skype for having meetings in our own homes and it's FREE. Our search for something vital finally paid off. We used iConference a few years ago in conjunction with a pyramid style VoiP network marketing company. They had sales meetings every Tuesday night that were amazing. Everyone could chat publically or on the side to anyone and everyone in the talk list. The controller of 'the room' could allow anyone to take the floor and present their iDeas. It was like being back in a schoolroom. We could all follow the collaborator seeing impressive presentations in one window. It was as good, if not better, than actually being in the same place but without risk of catching anything nasty.
Well iT's here and thank GOD for that! Yugma,'THE STATE OF BEING IN UNIFIED COLLABORATION' in Sanskrit: How cool and smooth? Chronologically Discombobulated Stuff Underneath:-

Feb06. recent visitors to the farm returned home with loads of fruit, gold and a tektite: One interesting find late last month was an aboriginal 'stone core' found nearby along the Turon river: You might have noticed a few new links on the index page.... the abc CANCER audio is definitely worth listening to and the NSW Library a virtual visit for those stuck in the bush: (not quite sure why iT tool so long to discover that!)
Jan06.  by now anyone visiting earthfix regularly will have noticed alterations to the website all over the place... let's hope they're not driving everyone completely mad... we had considered ditching the show altogether, but no one wanted that.... so iT goes on... the 'earthfix' passion, that iS: ...what a shame the objective of the whole affair for drawing people to the farm and outback new south wales isn't working to well: ...of course the faithful few keep rolling up and their passion for the idea seems to be reinforcing as years roll by: .....why don't you join in and really bring this God darned world back to Life?  (...and when all you indoor geeks feel like having a full on geek out in the bush, perhaps we might finish the stage and have a full on sing a long get Together.... extractus digitus!) .... and if you're not-so-geeky, maybe you haven't discovered you can reduce the size of your media player by changing iTs skin... much nicer when you click on a sound link such as this one for example....
....by the way if you're having any technical problems with these pages or have suggestions to make,,, don't hesitate:
Maybe one person wasn't the only one to notice there was no background sound on their povo windows98 setup on these pages....
Desktop CHOIR well guess that person wasn't alone.... am in the process of fixing this. links at the top of the pages will re-direct to duplicates with different html codes so no one misses out.  we don't want to many stuck on sounds of silence:
PC World handy stuff if you're into wireless networks:
So here's one for the experts or perhaps MSWizards.... Surely if we can get remote assistance from anywhere, work on and share files or any printer on your local network, it wouldn't be to hard to work out how to share one TV tuner card!  iT's defeating the purpose having aerial and usb cords trailing around the house and a proper pain huddling around one laptop watching television. Perhaps a router with usb inputs could do the trick and stick iT in that. A neat solution, but something soft and clever would be better. Let's hope we wake up one morning to find we're all updated with something 2fixiT:

2005: Back on deck we might be seeing a bit more on this page with a tidy up. 2004 seemed full of discombobulating unexpected surprises so not much detail was recorded here. Thank GOD those of us stricken with illness and catastrophe are doing well. The Kiosk plans are on the hop again and the first tepee will be ordered from Victoria soon. We're planning an expedition to ONE-MOON-Tepees, and to take a look around that state. 'BOULES' is the buzz word for 05 while we're looking forward to a global slowdown and lots of outdoor power saving activities. There's seven sets of boules in the camp now so there'll be no excuse for not having more back yard fun and outings to keep us 'peu un français et ensemble'. There's a reasonable crop of fruit considering the drought we're still in and a bumper crop of blackberries will be on for sure particularly if we continue getting the odd thunder storm... back yard birds oct.

One hundred and twenty five acres of hills creeks and gullies in the Central Tablelands of New South Wales is more earth being revitalised by Landcare and nature itself since livestock has been removed. An Extinct Undersea Volcano in High Country, it's a hidden valley on the upper reaches of the Turon River and worth exploring. Since European occupation land west of the divide was used primarily for the production of meat and wool. Land was extensively cleared for grazing in many areas of Australia during the nineteen thirties depression, putting unemployed to work, ring-barking trees. Mono-agricultural farming practices since have led to degradation and eroded non profitable Lifestyles. An entry in a local's diary suggests Koalas were taken to Sydney to see why they were dying from mange. There's none here today but might return with suitable vegetation. Publications reported 2,000 diggers were on their way to the spot during the gold rush of the eighteen hundreds. Water races, mine shafts and mullock heaps around the district are evident of this today. Good finds of gold no doubt will see another rush someday. Fossils can be found on hills to the west. (pictured above)  Early parish maps depict aboriginal settlement north east of the farm on the Turon River, a spot Now known as Long Nose Point. Australian Aborigines were annihilated in these districts as in much of the country by early settlers. Martial Law was declared in Bathurst. Local soldiers, police and farmers were given totally free rein to murder or maim every Aborigine who could be found. No questions would be asked.  Join what QUEST? ---> Helping Revitalize those Australian HEARTS?  i don't think!   MAP
